Tracy Blvd., Tracy, CA 95376
Complaint #C00013904: Fence surrounding pool not up to code. Children
getting through fence into pool area.
Dear Owner/Operator:
This letter is in regard to a complaint made about the fence surrounding the pool at the
above noted address. On a recent visit to the property known as "McKinley Manor", it
was confirmed that there are places in the fence surrounding the pool that do not meet
current code for swimming pools. The code requires that gaps in the fence be no more
than 4 inches apart [California State Building Code, Section 2-9024 (a)]. The fence at
this property has places where the gaps between the bars are more than 4 inches apart.
Please repair the fence surrounding the pool to meet current building codes by May 1,
2000. These repairs will be inspected on the routine inspection to be conducted in the
next few months.
