All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS: All gates must have "Keep Gate Closed" sign on the outside of the gate. Provide in 1 week. CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) #5 Restrooms and Showers OBSERVATIONS: Shower valve was off upon arrival. When switched on the shower was leaking. Fix in 3 weeks. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean: showers, toilets, dressing facilities, drinking fountains, diaper-changing stations, floors, walls, partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers (except outside) shall be provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. ( CCR 65535, 65551) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110*F. (CBC 31168) #8 Pool and Deck Lighting OBSERVATIONS: Pool light near 4 ft line on side with stairs is out. Replace bulb during winter time. CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) #10 Disinfectant Residual OBSERVATIONS: Chlorine is at 0 ppm. Corrected on site. Retested at 5.2. CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
