All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine measured at 0.6 ppm. The chlorine in the pool needs to be between 2.0 and 10.0 when <br />cyanuric acid is present. <br />Pool is to be closed until chlorine levels are between 2.0 and 10.0 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid concentration is above 100 ppm. Cyanuric acid should not go above 100 ppm. Lifeguard <br />staff mentioned that the pool was drained recently, so correct this level before the next routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Dead bugs found in the skimmer baskets. Clean skimmer baskets routinely for sanitation purposes. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br />#27 Pool Equipment Room <br />OBSERVATIONS: There are pool chemicals missing lids, ensure that pool chemicals are stored properly. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (CCR 65535) All filters, valves, pumps, strainers <br />and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
