All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool chlorine level is 0.6ppm. Immediately take action to increase the pool chlorine level to the range of <br />2.0ppm-10.0ppm or face closure. <br />Chlorine was added: re-checked at 1.6ppm. <br />More liquid chlorine was added (18oz). <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life hook is deteriorating and coming loose from the pole. Obtain a new life hook by 1 week. <br />New life hook ordered on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool light is not coming on. Take action to repair /replace the pool light by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of <br />the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck <br />lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and <br />shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
