All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: Top corner of fencing on northern side of pool is detached from the post . The entrance gate is not locked <br />and secured. Secure fencing to post and lock entrance gate to prevent entrance to pool area. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. <br />(CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum <br />effective perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members <br />shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool <br />enclosure or within a 5-foot arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool <br />enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.
