All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool enclosure gate is broken (does not self-latch or self-close properly). The pool shall remain closed <br />to swimmers until the pool enclosure entrance gate is repaired to proper function. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool <br />area except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the pool is 0.2ppm. Immediately increase the chlorine level of the pool to the range of <br />2.0 to 10.0ppm or face closure. <br />Pool service tech is on site. 1/2 gallon of liquid chlorine was added. Chlorine level re-checked: 2.0ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level of the pool is 7.0. Immediately adjust the pH level of the pool to the range of 7.2 to 7.8 or face <br />closure. <br />Pool service tech is on site. Approximately 4 cups of bi-carb was added. pH level re-checked: 7.2 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8.
