Inspection started on 11/12/2024 and completed on 11/14/2024. There were
no violations at the time of the inspection.
Notes:
- The monthly inspection checklists from 12/22/21 to 10/31/2024 for the Marx Tank located at building 801A room
125 answered "yes" to there is " evidence of leak or spill visible from anywhere on the exterior of the equipment.
For this issue, the checklist has a comment stating," Marx Tanks "I" and "J" have been redesigned and fabricate.
The new tank will be installed when scheduling permit". The facility does not have a target date for
installing/replacing the tank. Consider mitigating the release.
- The inspection for the portable drums and totes stored in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area (Used
Oil/Non-RCRA) are documented using the RHWM Waste Accumulation Area -Weekly Inspection checklist .
Whereas section 3.6.1 of the SPCC plan discusses using the RHWM weekly inspection checklist for RCRA
inspection, it does not discuss using the weekly inspection checklist for the non-RCRA hazardous waste.
