Sammons, Lynsey [EHD]
From: Sammons, Lynsey [E-ID]
Sent: Thursday, May 15,2025 12:32 PM
To: tom.robins@unitedpacific.com
Cc: Richard Thomas; Mendi Redman; Matt Thomas; Rivera, Stacy[8-0]
Subject: RE SR2400688- 1403 Country Club Blvd.,Stockton - Items needed
Good afternoon,
The application submitted by Matt Thomas of CGRS for the installation of an overfill protection valve on
the waste oil tank at 1403 Country Club Blvd. is in the process of review.
Please note that if approved, all guidelines outlined in the manufacturer installation guidance submitted
with the SR application must be followed during both installation and ongoing operation of the Model47-
20 overfill protection valve. This includes the qualifier noted on pages 1 &5 of the manufacturer guidance
that, "All fills are required to be done through wire mesh screen to keep out contaminants" (see
screenshot below).
If is found that the facility deposits oil into the tank without a mesh screen, this will be considered
overriding/tampering with the overfill protection valve, which may qualify as a Class 1 violation and could
be referred for enforcement action. To avoid this, please only deposit oil into the tank through a mesh
screen.
1
