NC winterization Plan Page 1 of 7 Printed 9/29/25 <br />2025-2026 WINTERIZATION PLAN <br />NORTH COUNTY LANDFILL <br />For 2025-2026 winterization operations at North County Landfill (NC), the following <br />existing winterization measures are in place: <br />1. Grading <br />The top deck of Modules 1-4 have been graded to drain with 3% slope. Soil <br />berms have been placed to channel storm water runoff to designated low spots <br />or down drains (Figure 1). <br />Top Slopes <br />West Slope East Slope <br />2.Drainage Ditches <br />a.The existing drainage ditches on the perimeter of Modules 1-4 will be used <br />to direct storm water runoff into NC’s storm water pond and the wetlands. <br />b.The existing perimeter drainage ditch west of Module 1-5 will be used to <br />direct most of the storm water north to the wetlands.
