Basic Hazardous Waste Management <br /> Generator Status <br /> 1,000 kg hazardous waste and/or> 1 kg acutely <br /> LQG hazardous waste and/or> 1 kg extremely hazardous waste <br /> during any calendar.month <br /> < 1,000 kg hazardous waste and/or s 1 kg acutely <br /> SQG hazardous waste and/or extremely hazardous waste during <br /> any calendar month <br /> s 100 kg hazardous waste and/or< 1 kg acutely hazardous <br /> VSQG waste and/or extremely hazardous waste during any <br /> (previouslyCESQG) calendar rnonth —this is a category defined by EPA and not <br /> recognized in California <br /> • Waste volume based on: <br /> o RCRA and non-RCRA wastes <br /> o Amount generated each month, not amount <br /> shipped off-site <br /> EPA Identification Numbers <br /> • Each site that generates hazardous waste must have an ID number <br /> o California ID numbers issued by DTSC (< 220 pounds RCRA hazardous waste in <br /> any month) <br /> o CAL— permanent; CAC—provisional; CAS— permanent for emergency response <br /> o EPA ID numbers issued by U.S. EPA (> 220 pounds RCRA <br /> o hazardous waste in any month) <br /> o CAR—current; CA—not issued since 1995; CAD—not issued since 1993; CAT— <br /> preceded CAD; CAP—provisional <br /> • Generators must verify their ID numbers (state and federal) annually through DTSC <br /> • If ID numbers are not verified,they will be deactivated <br /> NATEC international, Inc.
