Troubleshooting <br /> General Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: <br /> Excessive organics in the discharge packaging <br /> 1. Decrease forward pitch in the middle screen area(s)to retain longer <br /> 2. Decrease the clearance between paddles and screens/breaker bars to break up <br /> better <br /> 3. Increase the RPM to separate more organics from packaging <br /> 4. Increase screen size if organics are not breaking down or if screens are blinding <br /> over <br /> Excessive packaging in the organics hopper(center discharge) <br /> 1. Increase forward pitch in the middle screen area(s)to discharge faster <br /> 2. Increase the clearance between paddles and screens/breaker bars to minimize <br /> shredding <br /> 3. Decrease the RPM to prevent packaging from breaking down into small pieces <br /> 4. Decrease screen size if packaging is making it into the organics stream <br /> The waste packaging(cans,bottle,bags,etc.)getting too shredded;pieces of plastic etc.in <br /> organics <br /> 1. Increase forward pitch in the middle&discharge screen area(s)to discharge <br /> faster <br /> 2. Increase the clearance between paddles and screens/breaker bars to minimize <br /> shredding <br /> 3. Decrease the RPM to prevent packaging from breaking down into small pieces <br /> 4. Decrease screen size if packaging is making it into the organics stream <br /> Problem:Machine has excessive motor load <br /> Possible Solutions: <br /> 1. Check all wiring for loose connections,low voltage,or undersized wiring. <br /> 2.System components need cleaning-materials may be binding in the machine or trough. <br /> 3. Improper lubrication.Check all bearings and make sure they are greased properly according to <br /> manufacturer's recommendations.CAUTION: Do not over grease bearings,seal damage will <br /> occur. <br /> 4.Turbo only-Check the welded metal ring on the inside of the Turbo shell on the endplate to <br /> ensure it has not been dented or damaged and causing rubbing on the shaft. <br /> 181 Page <br />
