Adjust and maintain chlorine to 1 – 10 PPM for <br />pools without cyanuric acid treatment, or to 2 – 10 ppm for pools with cyanuric acid treatment. Keep the pool closed until the <br />corrections are made and verified by this department. Call 209-561-8923 to schedule the reinspection once ready. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Operation records were not available during the inspection. Maintain daily records for a minimum of one test <br />per day for disinfectant residual and pH, and monthly for cyanuric acid if used. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per <br />day. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often <br />as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test <br />results for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool waster was turbid with suspended debris. Clean and maintain pool so water is clean and the <br />bottom of the pool is visible from the deck. Correct prior to reinspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #30 Pool Equipment and Plumbing Maintained <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine feeder inside the pool equipment room has a leak. Repair leak within one week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All equipment related to pool operations shall be installed and maintained in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications and shall comply with applicable requirements established by applicable NSF/ANSI-50 performance <br />standards.
