S.Austin Road <br /> FORWARD Manteca,CA 11336 <br /> Landfill P:(209)982-4298 <br /> F:(209)982-1009 <br /> Mr. Brendan Kenny <br /> Engineering Geologist <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> 11020 Sun Center Drive,Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 <br /> January 31, 2023 <br /> RE: Forward Landfill—Fourth Quarter 2022 Exceedances of Concentration Limits <br /> Dear Mr. Kenny: <br /> In accordance with the California Regional Water Quality Board—Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Waste Discharge <br /> Requirement Order Number 115-2014-0006 of the Monitoring and Reporting Program(MRP),Forward,Inc.(Forward) <br /> presents this notification letter for constituents exceeding concentration limits (CLs) for inorganic constituents <br /> and/or their Method Detection Limit (MDLs) for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the fourth quarter of <br /> 2022.As summarized in attached Tables 1 and 2,concentrations of one or more constituents were reported above <br /> their respective CLs or MDLs during the fourth quarter 2022 monitoring event in wells MW-16, MW-19R, MW-21, <br /> AMW-6, and AMW-12. <br /> During the fourth quarter 2022 monitoring, wells were resampled for VOCs. Well MW-10 was resampled for 1,1- <br /> dichloroethane and carbon tetrachloride; MW-17R was resampled for carbon tetrachloride;AMW-6 was resampled <br /> for tetrachloroethene(PCE);and AMW-12 was resampled for PCE to address MDL exceedances observed during the <br /> third quarter of 2022.
