Revised Workplan-Additional Site Investigation for PFAS BSK Project E20-016-01F <br /> Stockton Metropolitan Airport(SCK) March 1, 2023 <br /> Stockton, California Page 1 <br /> 1 INTRODUCTION <br /> BSK Associates(BSK)conducted a Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI)at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport <br /> (SCK) located at 5000 South (S.) Airport Way, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Site). That <br /> investigation was published a report titled "Revised Report Preliminary Site Investigation for PFAS <br /> Stockton Metropolitan Airport (SCK) Stockton California" dated October 15, 2021, and revised May 1, <br /> 2022,which was approved by the CRWQCB in their letter dated March 2, 2022.A Vicinity Map is provided <br /> as Figure 1. A Site Map is provided as Figure 2, Figure 3 shows Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Use <br /> Areas and Potential Release Areas, Figure 4 details sensitive receptors, and Figures 5, 6 and 7 show PRA <br /> 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Please note that PRA-3 is not required to be investigated further, however, past <br /> data references the area, and therefore Figure 7 was included. <br /> 2 BACKGROUND <br /> This section provides project background, which include a description of the Site and location, Site <br /> operational history overview, prior environmental investigations,description of PRAs, 1 and 2,and project <br /> history. <br /> 2.1 Site Location and Description <br /> SCK is a joint civil-military airport located at 5000 South Airport Way in Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California (Site). Figure 1 is a Vicinity Map. SCK is situated three miles southeast of downtown Stockton, <br /> in San Joaquin County, California. SCK is owned by the County of San Joaquin and is categorized by the <br /> National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems as a primary commercial service airport. <br /> Figure 2 is a Site Plan. The airport property covers an area of 1,552 acres at a general elevation of 33 feet <br /> (ft) above mean sea level (msl). SCK has two asphalt runways and two concrete helipads: <br /> • Runway 11L/29R, with dimensions of 10,650 by 150 ft <br /> • Runway 11R/29L, with dimensions of 4,448 by 75 ft <br /> • Helipads H1 and H2 which both have dimensions of 70 by 70 ft. <br /> SCK has a 44,355 square foot(sf) terminal building. <br /> Fire protection services at SCK are provided by Station 18-2 of the Montezuma Fire District(MFD), which <br /> is located on the SCK property. MFD houses two Crash Fire Rescue (CFR) apparatuses and one Aircraft <br /> Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) "Type 1" Engine 18-2 vehicle that responds to calls only within the SCK <br /> grounds. CFR 181 carries 1,500 gallons(gals)of water and 200 gals of AFFF. CFR 184 carries 1,500 gallons <br /> (gals) of water and 180 gals of AFFF. Engine 18-2 is equipped with a 750-gal water tank, a 50-gal foam <br /> tank, and 1,250 gallon per minute (gpm)fire pump and front-mounted turret. <br />
