Stockton Municipal Airport - 2 - 3 April 2023 <br /> J10000012778) <br /> boring; for monitoring wells, collect soil samples in the capillary fringe right above <br /> the groundwater table. <br /> 4) Summarize the PFAS soil and groundwater results in a Progress Report and <br /> submit the Progress Report to the Central Valley Water Board. <br /> 5) Summarize the Airport drainage network information; within 60 days after <br /> receiving the results of an on-going drainage study at the Airport, submit the <br /> drainage network information and results of the drainage study, and as <br /> necessary, propose stormwater sampling activities to the Central Valley Water <br /> Board. <br /> Phase II: <br /> 6) Conduct vertical groundwater profiling by advancing four borings based on <br /> Phase I results and collect groundwater samples at a 10 feet interval from the <br /> groundwater table to 40 feet below static groundwater level in each boring for <br /> PFAS analysis. <br /> 7) Install two monitoring wells within/close to PRA-1 and two monitoring wells <br /> within/close to PRA-2 based on the groundwater profiling results and collect <br /> groundwater samples for PFAS analysis. <br /> 8) Collect soil samples at 1, 5, and 10 feet bgs, respectively, from each boring and <br /> monitoring well installed in Items 6) and 7) above for PFAS analysis. <br /> 9) Summarize the Phase I and Phase II soil and groundwater sampling results in a <br /> Final Report and submit the Final Report to the Central Valley Water Board. <br /> In addition to Items 1) through 9) above, BSK indicates in the RTC that the two City of <br /> Stockton supply wells (Well 04 and Well 05) located along the Airport's western <br /> boundary will be sampled for PFAS after receiving the City of Stockton's approval. <br /> According to Section 7, Project Schedule in the Revised Work Plan, the Airport will <br /> apply for the relevant Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) permit for the proposed <br /> field work after receiving the Central Valley Water Board concurrence with the Revised <br /> Work Plan; accordingly, the Phase I activities will start within about 90 to 180 days after <br /> the receipt of the Central Valley Water Board concurrence, and the overall project will <br /> be completed within 12 months. <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the scope of work, including its <br /> associated schedule, presented in the Revised Work Plan and RTC. Please proceed <br /> with implementing the proposed investigations. Following the proposed schedule, <br /> please submit the Progress Report by 15 September 2023 and the Final Report by <br /> 3 April 2024. If the timeframe of the FAA permit application process prevents the timely <br /> submittal of the Progress Report and/or Final Report, you may contact the Central <br /> Valley Water Board staff for a reasonable due date extension. <br />
