Brusea
Associates, Inc.
Environmental Engineering Geology
September 11, 2023
Murphy Austin Adams Schoenfeld LLP
Attention: Russell Austin
555 Capitol Mall, Suite 850
Sacramento, CA 95814
ADDITIONAL PLUME DEFINITION
AREA OF FORMER UNDERGROUND FUEL TANK
ANDERSON BARNGROVER RANCH PROPERTY
APN 091-030-130
14290 East Comstock Road
Linden, San Joaquin County, California
Brusca Reference No. 260-004
INTRODUCTION
In accordance with your request, we conducted additional subsurface investigation at the subject
site to further evaluate the limits of petroleum hydrocarbon soil impacts and the groundwater
plume in the area of a former approximate 1,000-gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST)
that was removed from the subject property in November 2022. Our scope of work included:
advancement of three additional borings for soil and groundwater sampling; soil gas sampling;
laboratory analysis of the collected samples; evaluation of the results; and, comparison of site
information to Low-Threat UST Closure policy (LTCP) criteria adopted by the State Water
Resources Control Board.' This report presents our findings.
A Vicinity Map showing the location of the subject property is presented as Plate 1 and a Site Map
showing the layout of the entire subject parcel with respect to nearby roadways is presented as
Plate 2. A map showing the onsite farm facility where the UST was formerly located along with
previous and recent boring/sampling locations is presented as Plate 3. Logs of the exploratory
borings are presented as Plates 4 through 6. Groundwater diesel, benzene, and naphthalene data
and inferred isoconcentration contours are plotted on site maps presented as Plate 7, 8, and 9,
respectively. The soil and groundwater analytical data are summarized on Tables I and II,
respectively. Soil gas analytical data are summarized on Table III. Drilling permit documentation
and the analytical laboratory reports are attached.
' State Water Resources Control Board; "Low-Threat Underground Storage Tank Case Closure Policy"; effective
August 17,2012.
BruscaAssociates.com 9 1860 Sierra Gardens Drive,#332,Roseville,CA 95661 9 phone(916)677-1470
