We looked at the food and where it is obtained and how it is
handled, processed and stored at the facility. The Intercity organization has a mobile food facility permit for a trailer. They use
this trailer to make and prepare food and store donated food. They also have temporary set up for food that is cooked on the
grill and food that is donated. They use ice chests and steam tables to maintain the food cold and hot. There is no food at this
location now. They were going to set up a temporary handwash station, as per our guidance at the temporary set up. The
person in charge will get a hand washing sink for this area with paper towels and soap. They feed about 50 people and some
stay the night. Currently there are around 20 people at the shelter.
They have 5 portable toilets and hanwash stations, which at this time they say are sufficient. One of the toilets is ADA
accessible.THE TRAILER WHERE THE SHOWERS ARE HAS A LEAK FROM THE WASTE TANK, WHICH WAS
BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERSON IN CHARGE AND HE SAYS THEY WILL LOOK INTO FIXING IT
RIGHTAWAY.
The tent has heaters blowing into it. Some smoke detectors had been installed. Per person in charge and police officer the
fire chief had just left to get carbon monoxide detectors to install in the tent. The floor inside the large tent is lined with turf
grass. They have cots for people to sleep.
They use questionnaire for admitting people. There is concern also about communicable diseases, for this Public Health
would have more information on how they can deal with someone if they have a communicable disease, or other illness.
There is sufficient garbage containers. Laundry service is provided by an outside vendor that picks up dirty laundry and
returns it. All pets are provided with crates.
The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and
Safety Code. If a reinspection is required, fees will be assessed at the current hourly rate.
Received by: Name and Title:
EH Specialist: VIDAL PEDRAZA Phone: (209)468-0334
C00051325 SCO04 12/13/2019
EHD 16-23 Rev.06/30/15 Page 1 of 1 Food Program Complaint Inspection Report
1868 E.
