22 November 2023 AdvancedGeo
Project No. 23-7523 An Employee Owned Company
Page 5of7
3.1. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES
• The soil profile generally consisted of dry sandy silt or silty sand mixtures from near
surface grade to 15 feet bsg.
• Organic vapors were not detected with the PID during the investigation.
• There were no VOC constituents detected above laboratory reporting limits in any
of the soil samples (Table 1).
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL-VAPOR SAMPLES
• Tetrachloroethene (PCE) was detected in all twenty of the sampled soil-vapor and
sub-slab sampling locations at concentrations ranging between 320 micrograms
per cubic meter (pg/m3; V6-A)and 7,000 pg/m3 (V2-A).
• Trichloroethene (TCE) was detected in eight of the twenty samples at
concentrations ranging between 8.8 pg/m3(SS-7) and 340 pg/m3(V6-C).
• Cis-1,2-dicholoroethene (cis-1,2-DCE) was detected in two of the twenty samples
at concentrations of 30 pg/m3(V6-C) and 37 pg/m3(V2-A).
• Benzene was detected in five of the twenty samples at a maximum concentration
of 26 pg/m3(W-A).
• Helium was detected in one of the twenty samples at a concentration of 0.13 pg/m3
(SS-7).
• Several additional VOCs, including acetone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone, freon 113,
1,3-betadiene, ethanol, carbon disulfide, hexane, methyl ethyl ketone,
tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, cyclohexane, 2,2,4-trimethypentane, toluene,
ethylbenzene, 4-ethytolune were detected in one or more of the soil-vapor samples
collected (Appendix B).
Soil-vapor analytical results are summarized in Table 2.
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the environmental activities completed, AGI concludes the following:
• Constituents of concern were not detected in any of the soil samples collected
during the October/November 2023 investigation. Based on all data collected the
site generally appears to be impacted primarily by chlorinated hydrocarbons in the
soil-vapor phase only.
• The site Iithology is generally homogeneously composed of silty sand and sandy
silt mixtures from near surface grade to 35 feet bsg.
