former dry cleaning facility (Suite 308A), respectively, and in the vicinity of previous sub-slab probes SS-2,
SS-3 and SS-4.
Sub-slab probes SS-5 and SS-6 were installed in the northeast interior of the Lodi Laundromat (Suite 308B)
and the southwest interior of the former dry cleaning facility (Suite 308A), respectively.
Indoor air samples IAQ-1 through IAQ-3 were collected from the southeast, northeast, and southwest
interior areas of the former dry cleaning facility (Suite 308A) and co-located with borings B3, B4, and sub-
slab probe SS-6, respectively. Indoor air sample IAQ-4 was collected from the northeast interior of the Lodi
Laundromat(Suite 308B)and co-located with sub-slab probe SS-5.Ambient air sample AMB-1 was collected
on the east exterior of the subject property building.
Refer to Figure 3 for a map indicating sample locations.
3.4 Indoor Air Quality Sampling
3.4.1 Indoor Air Building Survey
Prior to conducting sampling activities, Partner completed an Indoor Air Building Survey Form. The building
survey identifies general property information (i.e., address, size, type of structure, number of floors, floor
layout, type of ventilation system, and other physical conditions of the property) along with documenting
indoor products that can potentially contribute to or affect the air quality.
No chemicals of concern were noted during the building survey. Partner observed an exhaust fan on the
west interior of Suite 308A, which was not operating at the time of the sampling, and a floor drain in the
southeast corner of Suite 308A.
Refer to Appendix C for a completed copy of the Indoor Air Building Survey Form.
3.4.2 Air Sampling Equipment
Air samples were collected using 3.2-liter, stainless-steel, spherical SUMMA canisters. The sampling
containers were provided by SunStar Laboratories, Inc. (SunStar) a state-certified laboratory (California
Department of Public Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program certificate number 2250) in
Lake Forest, California, which subjected each canister to a rigorous cleaning process using a combination
of dilution, heat, and high vacuum. After cleaning, each canister was individually certified to be free of target
contaminants to a specified reporting limit via gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) prior to
delivery.
Partner received the SUMMA canisters evacuated to approximately 30 inches of mercury. The SUMMA
canisters were fitted with stainless-steel flow controllers, which SunStar calibrated to maintain constant flow
[approximately 12.5 milliliters per minute (mL/min)] into the containers over an 8-hour sampling event.
3.4.3 Air Sampling Methodology
After conducting the building survey, the air samples were collected on July 6, 2023. The SUMMA canister
inlets were elevated approximately 5 feet off the ground by placing the containers atop existing counters
or(in the case of the outdoor air sample AMB-1) on architectural ledges. In general, indoor air samples were
collected away from entrances and in areas where the air was relatively still to minimize potential dilution
effects from outside air.
Additional Subsurface Investigation Report PARTNER
Project No.23-400162.14
July 31,2023
Page 5
