29 January 2024 AdvancedGeo
Project No. 23-7523 An Employee-Owned Company
Page 4 of 8
helium meter to verify that an 18 to 25% concentration of helium was introduced and
maintained in the shroud. The initial pressure and time were recorded on soil-vapor
sampling field logs (Appendix A). The sample canister valves were closed after reaching
2 to 6 inches' mercury (Hg). The final pressure and time were recorded. The sampling
ports on the sampling canisters were then capped with brass endcaps and the canisters
were placed in a dry container (room temperature). Following sample collection, organic
vapor in the wells was measured using a photo-ionization detector (PID). Soil-vapor
samples were labeled with sample ID, project name, date, time, and samplers' initials.
The samples were logged on a chain-of-custody form and placed into dry containers.
The soil-vapor samples were logged on a chain-of-custody form and delivered to Eurofins
Air Toxics, LLC, (Eurofins), an ELAP-certified analytical laboratory. Soil-vapor samples
were analyzed for the following chemical constituents:
• VOCs in accordance with EPA Method TO-15.
• Helium in accordance with ASTM D1946M.
2.3. INDOOR AIR SAMPLING PRODCEDURE
On 09 January 2024, the buildings located at 306, 308A and 308B Ham Lane were
monitored and inspected to locate indoor contaminant sources that could potentially bias
air sampling results. Additionally, background ambient air (outdoor) was monitored in the
eastern portion of the property.
Indoor air contaminant sources were monitored and located using an organic vapor meter
(OVM) equipped with a PID calibrated to a detection limit of parts per billion by volume
(ppb; MiniRae 3000). Organic vapor measurements were recorded from the following
areas of the property:
• Background Outdoor Air = 0 ppb.
• 306 Ham Lane = 0-2 ppb at floor cracks and ambient air.
• 308A Ham Lane = 4-7 ppb at floor cracks and ambient air.
• 308B Ham Lane = 28-30 ppb at floor crack and ambient air.
The results of the indoor air pre-sample inspection are presented in the Indoor Air Source
Screening Forms provided in Appendix B.
On 09 January 2024, AGI collected a total of three (3) passive integrated air samples
using laboratory supplied 6-liter Summa canisters from the above referenced indoor
locations (306 Ham Lane, 308A Ham Lane and 308B Ham Lane). Additionally, a passive
integrated ambient air sample was collected using a 6-liter Summa canister, outside at
the eastern edge of the property building. Summa cans were positioned a minimum of
