Simply check the <br /> appropriate box and enter in the number of packages and quantity in each package. <br /> The HMR requirements for shipping papers are located in 49 CFR 172 Subpart C <br /> 3.0 POTENTIAL PROBLEMS <br /> The following potential problems may occur during sample shipment: <br /> • Leaking package. If a package leaks, the carrier may open the package, return the <br /> package, and if a dangerous good, inform the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), <br /> which can result in fines. <br /> • Improper labeling and marking of package. If mistakes are made in labeling and <br /> marking the package, the carrier will most likely notice the mistakes and return the <br /> package to the shipper,thus delaying sample shipment. <br /> • Improper, misspelled, or missing information on the shipper's declaration. The <br /> carrier will most likely notice this as well and return the package to the shipper. <br /> Contact FedEx with questions about dangerous goods shipments by calling 1-800-463- <br /> 3339 and asking for a dangerous goods expert. <br /> 3.0 CAUTIONS <br /> Seemingly safe sites or situations may still present life-threatening conditions. Even the <br /> best monitoring equipment cannot replace astute observation and common sense. Be alert <br /> and aware of surroundings and conditions at all times. <br />
