All canisters must be properly decontaminated by the <br /> laboratory as specified by appropriate EPA methods. <br /> If Y-branched tubing or any other sampling equipment is to be reused, it must also be <br /> decontaminated between sampling locations. <br /> 2.8 SAMPLE TRANSFER <br /> After collection, each sample container will be packaged, shipped, or transported to the <br /> designated laboratory for analysis in accordance with Toeroek SOP No. 24-1, Labeling, <br /> Packaging and Shipping of Nonhazardous Samples. <br /> 3.0 CAUTIONS <br /> Indoor air and soil gas samples should not be subjected to changes in ambient pressure. <br /> Samples to be analyzed off site should not be shipped by air. If condensation is observed in <br /> the sample container, the sample should be discarded and a new sample collected. <br /> Seemingly safe sites or situations may still present life-threatening conditions. Even the best <br /> monitoring equipment cannot replace astute observation and common sense. Be alert and <br /> aware of surroundings and conditions at all times. <br />
