All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public <br /> health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJC <br /> OBSERVATIONS:At the start of the inspection,the life ring (without a rope)is in the pool. Properly secure a throw rope(at <br /> least as many feet long as the pool is wide)to the life ring today. <br /> At the start of the inspection,the life hook is not connected to the pole. Immediately connect the life hook to the pole. <br /> Corrected on site. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided,maintained, readily visible,and available for use. Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope.Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> This is(Major)Violation. <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The all-in-one safety signage lacks the following information:the capacity,the hours of operation, the phone <br /> number for the nearest emergency services, the name and address of the pool facility. Write in the required information today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained.(CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high,unless otherwise specified.Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole,gate,or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users,unless otherwise specified.(CBC 3120B) <br /> This is(Minor-Food)Violation. <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br /> OBSERVATIONS:One of the showers lacks a handle(the shower to the right of the ADA shower). Provide a properly installed <br /> handle at this shower by 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers,toilets, <br /> dressing facilities,drinking fountains,diaper-changing stations,floors,walls, partitions,doors,and lockers.Showers(except outside) <br /> shall be provided with soap in dispensers.Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap,and paper towels or hot air <br /> blowers in permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. <br /> Wooden slats,duckboards and footbaths are prohibited.
