Mr. Brenden Kenny
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
March 7, 2022
Reporting
Following completion of the proposed field activities, Arcadis will evaluate the data and prepare a summary of the
results. A report will document the extraction well installation and hydraulic testing, SI results and will include the
following:
• Background and history.
• A scaled site plan illustrating locations of the interim remedial action extraction well and piezometers, and SI
soil borings/temporary soil vapor probes and temporary wells (if applicable), and other relevant site features.
• Documentation of the remedial extraction well and piezometer installations, and interpretation of hydraulic
testing activities.
• Documentation of groundwater, soil vapor, and soil sampling.
• Results of the laboratory analyses performed on the groundwater, soil vapor, and soil samples.
• Analytical results posted on plan view and on cross-sectional view figures.
• Determination of the potential source(s) and extent(s) of the VOC mass in groundwater and soil vapor
beneath the CDCR property.
Proposed Project Schedule
Arcadis is prepared to direct activities following regulatory review and approval of this Work. Approximate
timelines for each of the activities are as follows:
• Pre-field activities, including permitting, subcontractor identification and selection, are anticipated to require
approximately one month.
• Remedial action groundwater extraction well and piezometer installations, and well development activities are
anticipated to take 2-3 weeks to complete.
• Hydraulic testing of the shallow water bearing zone is anticipated to take approximately 1 week to complete.
• The Phase 1 SI activities, which includes groundwater and temporary vapor well installations and sampling, is
anticipated to take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete.
• The additional phases of investigation are anticipated to take two weeks to a month to complete, with the level
of effort and duration depending on the results of the Phase 1 SI.
www.arcadis.com 8/9
