PROJECT: Ahern Road Fueling Station February 28, 2022
Job No: 20-544 Ross P.Shoat Civil Engineer
3225 gpd (average daily flow)/386 g/sf=4,103 sf of disposal area. For final design 4,320 sf of
trench will be used. The disposal field will consist of 6 alternately dosed zones each containing
360 lineal feet of 2'trench. (6x360'x2'=4,320 sf)
The system flow is as follows: Effluent from the building will enter either the grease trap or the
Septic tank directly. The flow will then go into a pre-Anoxic tank where it will be mixed with
primarily treated effluent and any needed Alkalinity before entering the First Recirculation
Tank. The Effluent in the First Recirculation Tank is recirculated over the Primary Filter bank
until the level reaches the required height and then is shunted to the Post-Anoxic Tank. The
Post-Anoxic tank them feeds the Secondary Recirculation Tank which in turn recirculates the
effluent over the Secondary Filter Bank. The treated Effluent is then shunted to the Dosing
Chamber that Doses the treated effluent into the Leach Filed area through a flow meter and
indexing valve.
