Mr. Kevin Bertrand -3- 15 May 2020
2. Well destruction and installation permits must be obtained from the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department prior to the start of this work.
3. MW-6R, MW-2, and MW-7 are in close proximity. Of the three monitoring wells,
MW-6R historically has the highest concentrations of nitrate, 1,2,3-TOP, and 1,2-
DCP.Therefore, a deeper well shall be reconstructed at the WM-6R location,
instead of the proposed MW-2 location.
With the above comments, Regional Board staff conditionally concur with the Workplan
and request that the work is completed by 15 July 2020. Please provides completion
report by 15 August 2020. Regional Board staff requests to be notified at least 72
hours before any onsite work is done.
If you have any questions you may contact me my mobile telephone, if previously
provided to you,or by email at Jeff.Tiemey@waterboardsce.gov. I am teleworking and
will not be accessible at my desk phone, (916)464-4680, until further notice.
JEFF TIERNEY, E.I.T.
Federal and Private Sites Cleanup Unit
. C185B2
00 h
GERALD DJUTH, PE, CEG
Chief, Federal and Private Sites Cleanup Unit
cc: Mr. Michael Kith,San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept., Stockton
Mr.Stephen Meninger, Rubik Environmental, Santa Cruz
