A sign in letters at least 1 inch (25 mm) high and in a language <br />or diagram that is clearly stated shall be posted at the entrance area of a public pool <br />which states that persons having currently active diarrhea or who have had active <br />diarrhea within the previous 14 days shall not be allowed to enter the pool water. <br />OBSERVATIONS: 3120B.6 Emergency sign. The emergency telephone number 911 with numbers not <br />less than 4 inches (102mm), the number of the nearest emergency services and the <br />name and street address of the pool facility with numbers and text not less than 1 <br />inch (25mm) shall be posted. Change the name of the site and address on the sign. Correct prior to operating the pool and <br />spa. <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool free chlorine at 16 ppm. Adjust free chlorine to 2 ppm to 10 ppm. Spa free chlorine at 50 ppm to <br />100 ppm.. Adjust free chlorine to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. Correct prior to operating the pool and spa. Provide photos of the correct <br />concentrations. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool pH at 7. Provide photos of the correct pH. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope.
