November 3, 2016
GRANTLINE ROAD APARTMENTS, 3580 W. Grantline RoadRE:
Eagle Pools, Inc.
Mike Nantze
3329 Garfield Ave.
Carmichael CA 95608
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department has received and reviewed the plan
submittal for Grantline Road Apartments subject to the following conditions:
Applicant must call this department for a pre-gunite, pre-plaster, and final inspection. If you
have any questions with this letter please call me at (209) 468-3438.
Jeff Carruesco, REHS Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Website: www.sjcehd.com
Phone: (209)468-3420
Fax: (209)464-0138
PROGRAM COORDINATORS
Robert McClellon, REHS
Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI
Kasey Foley, REHS
Adrienne Ellsaesser, REHS
Rodney Estrada, REHS
DIRECTOR
Linda Turkatte, REHS
Any item(s) inadvertently overlooked as part of the plan check process that will not meet current
state code shall be repaired or constructed at the department’s request.
1. A photometric plan for the pool deck area shall be submitted to this department for
review and approval.
2. Provide 3-feet separation between maindrain grate covers. This measurement must be
achieved from inside edge-of-cover to inside edge-of-cover.
3. Return side spa booster plumbing will exceed 8 feet per second (FPS) with 2 % inch
pipe. Increase this line to 3 inch.
4. Spa booster jet main drain cover cannot be placed on the side wall of the spa. The
rating on the booster pump would exceed the 10AV Aquastar cover maximum flow rate
with wall mount installation. The recirculation maindrain cover can be placed on the side
wall of the spa since that pump is less horse power.
5. The backwash sump is undersized. The backwash sump must be a minimum of 90-
gallon capacity. Per plan, it is currently sized to be 60-gallons.
