LUCKY YOU TATTOO AFTERCARE . <br /> Aftercare <br /> You were tattooed In a modem studin using only single use nndlor stnrillzed instruments Complying with the <br /> following instructions will result in a quick hnntinq process end nn attractive tattoo Remember, the life of your <br /> tattoo depends on Ifte avo it receivrs <br /> First Few Days: <br /> i <br /> • ALWAYS Lv sure io thoroughly wash your hnnds with nntibaclorin[ soap before touching your new tattoo <br /> Contact with dirty hands is a mnlor coninhutor inlecllon <br /> • Remove the covering within 1 -2 hours, or as Instructed by your tattoo udist <br /> • Wash the tattoo area gently with mild• unscented soap (dial gold, Dove seweitive, or an antibacterial soap) and <br /> Iukewarm or cool water, twice a day <br /> • Pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel, avoiding rubbing <br /> • After 48 hours apply a thin layor of unscented lotion (like Lubriderm) to keep the skin moisturized. but not <br /> overly saturated <br /> • Avoid swimming, saunas, and prolonged exposure to water <br /> • Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction <br /> • Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight <br /> First Two Weeks: <br /> • Continue washing the tattoo gently twice a day <br /> • Continue to moisturize with unscented lotion, but reduce the amount as the tattoo heals <br /> • Avoid scratching, picking, or rubbing the tattoo <br /> • Continue to protect the tattoo from the sun <br /> • DO NOT submerse tattoo in water for 2 weeks This includes baths, swimming, and saunas Saftwater and <br /> chlorine act as a bleach and can ruin your tattoo and too much water exposure can cause wrinkling and <br /> puckering of skin which can also damage your new tattoo <br /> • Observe for signs of infection, such as excessive redness, rash, swelling, or pus <br /> It you suspect an infection, seek medical attention by your physician immediately <br /> After Healing: <br /> Even after the tattoo is healed, continue to protect it from the sun with sunscreen or clothing <br /> • you can use sunblock (SPF 35 or above) to help keep tattoo from fading The healing process usually takes <br /> between 2-3 weeks, but can vary from each person <br /> • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated l <br /> • Always follow the specific instructions provided by your tattoo artist <br /> What to Avoid: <br /> Don't re-bandage Unless instructed otherwise by your tattoo artist, don't re-bandage the tattoo <br /> • Avoid using alcohol-based products, scented products, or harsh soaps on the tattoo Also avoid exfoliants. <br /> waxing, or shaving the tattoo area <br /> • Don'! use Vaseline or petroleum jelly: <br /> This includes Neosporin. and ABD, as these are triple antibiotic ointments These products can trap bacteria and <br /> hinder healing <br /> • Donl over-moisturize: <br /> Over-moisturizing can lead to a duller-looking tattoo and prevent proper healing <br /> Be patient healing time varies from person to person, so be patient and follow the aftercare instructions closely <br /> Your tattoo Is your responsibility once you leave the studio <br />
