A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per month, less <br /> than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID numbers are <br /> unique to a business and site location. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/to <br /> obtain an ID number. Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 2 CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2) 3020001 - Employees thoroughly familiar with all waste handling and <br /> emergency procedures <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated that employees who handle hazardous waste <br /> were properly trained. <br /> -Accountant Linda Jimenez stated that employees were not trained in Hazardous Waste management. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 6 CA Code of Regulations 66262.40(a) 3010010 - Signed copy of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest kept for 3 years <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for the past three years <br /> during the inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance with <br /> section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility which <br /> received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the waste was <br /> accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years July 22, 2022 to July 22, 2025 for all <br /> hazardous waste.
