Postclosure Maintenance Costs <br />The Foothill Sanitary Landfill will continue post closure maintenance for a minimum 30 <br />years after to landfill closure. The 2010 cost for post closure maintenance was estimated to be <br />$1.43 million dollars per year without contingency. The updated 2025 cost is estimated to be <br />$2.77 million. <br /> <br />8.4. Financial Assurance <br />The County is self-insured. The Solid Waste Division (SW) has set up an Enterprise <br />Fund for landfill closure costs. For Post-closure Maintenance and Corrective Action costs, SW <br />has entered into Pledge-of-Revenue Agreements with CalRecycle (appendix I). <br /> <br />
