Disposal Facility (Site) Inspection Report (52) <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill (39-AA-0004) <br /> 7/24/2025 <br /> No Areas of Concern <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> 1. Weather: sunny, clear skies, and minimal winds during the inspection. <br /> 2. Site is secured. Site attendant was observed at the entrance (scale house) during the <br /> inspection. <br /> 3. The entrance/exits were observed to be clean and free of litter and/or tracking. <br /> 4. Traffic in/out of the facility does not interfere with adjacent public streets/roads <br /> 5. Roads were accessible and well maintained. <br /> 6. The site uses soil and tarps for cover. Tarps were adequately covering waste at the <br /> active face upon my arrival. <br /> 7. On-site personnel were observed wearing personal protective equipment. 1 spotter was <br /> observed at the active face <br /> 8. Minimal birds were observed. Handheld bird bombs are utilized as needed. <br /> 9. Rodent bait stations observed throughout the facility. <br /> 10. Odor and dust minimal. Water trucks were in use at the time of the inspection. <br /> 11. Vegetation is minimal. <br /> 12. No erosion concerns observed. <br /> 13. Some litter was observed on the top deck. <br /> 14. Measured perimeter soil gas wells for methane concentrations: SG 119 = 0% (all 3 <br /> probes) & SG 120 = 0% (all 3 probes) <br /> 15. Documents reviewed. No new trainings since the last inspection. <br /> 16. Flare station was off at the time of the inspection. <br /> 17. Previously documented area of concern has now escalated to a violation. <br /> 18. Previously documented violation has been resolved. The facility's monthly vehicle count <br /> was incorrect due to an administrative error.
