Disposal Facility (Site) Inspection Report (52) <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill (39 -AA -0004) <br />2/25/2025 <br />27 CCR 20750 - Site Maintenance <br />Solid waste was stockpiled in the white goods storage area. <br />1) Ensure the white goods storage area is maintained and free of solid waste. Remove <br />all solid waste from this area and dispose the waste properly. <br />2) This was previously an area of concern. More waste has accumulated in the area <br />since the last inspection. <br />No Areas of Concern <br />Inspection Report Comments <br />1. It was foggy with moderate winds during the inspection. <br />2. Site is secured. Site attendant was observed at entrance during the inspection. <br />3. The site uses soil and tarps for cover. Upon my arrival, tarps were adequately covering all waste. <br />4. On-site personnel were observed wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. One spotter <br />observed at active face. <br />5. Minimal birds were observed at the active face. Handheld bird bombs are utilized on an as need basis. <br />6. Adequate lighting was provided when there was minimal sunlight. <br />7. Winter pad is not currently in use but will be utilized during wet conditions. <br />8. Rodent bait stations were observed throughout the facility. <br />9. Odor and dust were minimal. Facility utilizes water trucks for dust control. <br />10. Vegetation was at minimum at the time of inspection. Sheep are currently used as vegetation control. <br />11. Measured perimeter soil gas wells for methane concentration: SG -122 = 0% (all 3 probes) & SG -123 = 0% <br />(all 3 probes) <br />12. One daily load check record was missing for 01/30/2025. <br />13. Previous area of concern was not resolved.
