According to Kavazanjian et al. (1995), Figure 3 <br />below, the shear wave velocity for an approximately 55 m (180 ft) fill is estimated to be 385 m/s. <br />The yield acceleration, Ky = 0.1399g, for the global slope was iterativley solved for using the SLIDE slope stability software. <br />Distance to nearest fault (62 km ) obtained from Appendix A of the 2012 Updated Slope Stability Analysis for Foothill Sanitary Landfill. <br />Event Distance <br />(km) <br />Peak Horizontal Ground Acceleration (PHGA) of 0.200g was obtained from the 2014 USGS National Seismic Hazard Map of the U.S. <br />"Evaluation of MSW Properties for Seismic Analysis," by E.
