<br /> <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill Page 31 of 52 San Joaquin County DPW - Solid Waste <br />Joint Technical Document Revised 12/04/2025 <br /> <br />x Solid Waste Site Manager – Performs responsible supervisory work for refuse disposal <br />operations. Minimum qualifications include either four years as an Equipment Operator <br />II, Foreman, or civil engineer involved in solid waste operations or activities, or <br />engineering construction activities in San Joaquin County, or four years of experience in <br />heavy earth-moving construction or in maintenance or operation of solid waste <br />management faculties, including two years in supervisory capacity. The Site Manager <br />must have valid California (CA) driver’s license. <br /> <br />x Solid Waste Recovery Supervisor – Supervises a maintenance crew engaged in <br />specialized road maintenance projects or a solid waste crew engaged in solid waste <br />disposal. Minimum qualifications include either three years as an Equipment Operator II <br />in San Joaquin County or three years’ experience in the skilled operation of road <br />construction and maintenance equipment including motor patrol graders and heavy-duty <br />trucks. The supervisor must possess a valid CA Class B driver’s license. Performs <br />supervisory and operations work in the Materials Recovery Facilities of the landfill. <br />Minimum qualifications include either two years’ experience as an Equipment Operator I, <br />Refuse Worker III or Senior Refuse Worker in San Joaquin County, or four years of paid <br />experience in operating front end loaders, backhoes, and/or heavy trucks in a solids <br />waste disposal, transfer, or material recovery facility. The supervisor must possess a <br />valid Class B CA driver’s license. <br /> <br />x Solid Waste Recovery Worker – Performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor. Recovery <br />Workers must possess valid CA Class C driver’s license. <br /> <br />x Senior Solid Waste Recovery Worker – Performs semi-skilled work in operating and <br />maintaining wheel loaders, backhoes, and other light equipment. Senior Solid Waste <br />Recovery Workers must have either one year of paid experience operating and <br />maintaining light or heavy construction equipment, or one year as a Refuse Worker II <br />and valid CA Class C driver’s license. <br /> <br />x Equipment Operator I – Performs skilled work in the operation of Public Works <br />Department road construction and maintenance equipment.
