All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Life ring throw rope is frayed ( worn). Replace the throw rope today. <br />*** Later in the day, a new life ring with new throw rope provided. Corrected. **** <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: I observe cracks and rough spots all around the pool deck. Seal the cracks and smooth out the rough <br />surfaces. Correct in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with <br />the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of <br />any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Log are not maintained on daily basis. Maintain chemicals logs daily. Correct today. <br />*****Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. (CCR 65523) <br />***** <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per <br />day. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often <br />as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test <br />results for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
