All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Life ring throw rope is frayed ( worn). Replace the throw rope today. <br />*** Later in the day, a new life ring with new throw rope provided. Corrected. **** <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: I observe cracks and rough spots all around the pool deck. Seal the cracks and smooth out the rough <br />surfaces. Correct in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with <br />the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of <br />any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #15 Operation Records <br />OBSERVATIONS: Log are not maintained on daily basis. Maintain chemicals logs daily. Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often <br />as necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test <br />results for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
