All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is above 8. Provide pH 7.2 - 7.8. Correct today. <br />Acid added to the water. pH is rechecked later. pH is at 7.6 now. Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of handrail of double handrails is not properly secured. Secure handrail today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a <br />point above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) <br />Pool operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chemical test kit is not available on site. Provide test kit. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine, pH, and <br />cyanuric acid (if used) at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br />type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine, so that combined chlorine concentrations can be <br />determined.
