CALIFORNIA STATE TRANSPORTATION AGENCY GAVIN NEWSOM,GOVERNOR
California Department of Transportation
OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT 10 DIRECTOR
P.O.BOX 2048 1 STOCKTON,CA 95201 .
1209) 948-7943 1 FAX 1209) 948-7179 TTY 711
www.dot.ca.gov
June 18, 2026
SJ-88-PM 13.814
PA-2500214
Stagecoach 88 RV Sales
Henna Khan
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
1810 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Ms. Khan:
The California Department of Transportation appreciates the opportunity to review PA-
2500214. The project proposes sales and repair facility for recreational vehicles. The project will
have 8 employees, approximately 30 customers per day, and 10 parking spots. The
Department has the following comments:
1. Please submit the following items to Caltrans for review and comment prior to project
approval.
2. Please provide the inbound and outbound turning movements between the State
Highway and Locke Road. These should include the turn movements for the largest
vehicles that will be used at the project site.
3. If any new construction or grading will be performed at the site, Caltrans would like to
review the pre and post construction runoff calculations to understand flow patterns.
Additional review will be done once drainage plans and calculations are submitted.
a. The proposed site development is adjacent to the State Route. The developer
needs to ensure that the existing State drainage facilities will not be significantly
impacted by the project. Peak runoff flows into state right of way may not be
increased from the pre-construction runoff quantities and the site runoff be
treated to meet present storm water quality standards.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at (209) 483-2582 or Nicholas
Fung at (209) 986-1552.
Sincerely,
Tom Dumas
Chief, Office of Metropolitan Planning
"Provide a safe and reliable transportation network that serves all people and respects the environment"
