To issue a permit to operate, concurrence from the Water Board is required. An <br /> annual permit to operate a public water system will be required by the Environmental Health <br /> Department prior to sign off of the certificate of final occupancy (San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-602.010 and 9-601.030). An onsite well shall meet public well <br /> standards to serve the potable water supply. <br /> 6) Construction of individual domestic water well(s) under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-601.010 (b)). <br /> 7) Any existing wells or septic systems to be abandoned shall be destroyed under permit and <br /> inspection by the EHD (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-605.010 & 9- <br /> 601.020). <br /> 8) Any geotechnical drilling shall be conducted under permit and inspection by The <br /> Environmental Health Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 601.010(b) and 9-601.020(i)). <br />
