Currently there are 300,000 birds that are being housed on site that contribute to the
composting operation.
5.Lab analysis results for 2025 were received on January 26, 2026. Review of the lab analysis
reports for the compost showed that the analysis detected that the density of fecal coliform
and Salmonella sp. bacteria were both lower than the acceptable maximum pathogen
concentrations.
6. Lab analysis results for 2025 showed that the metal concentrations detected in the compost
were lower than the maximum acceptable metal concentrations.
7. Lab analysis results for Physical Contamination Limits show the compost had detected
physical contamination level lower than the maximum acceptable limits.
8. The odor on site was strong adjacent to the compost. At the public street, the odor of the
compost was not detectable.
9. Finished compost, and compost that was curing at the end of the windrows did not
have any flies.
10. Other piles of the material on site included wood shavings and finished compost. The
finished compost had a temperature range of 138 - 142 F. The wood shavings pile had a
temperature range of 120 - 146F. Noted to operator to keep these pile temperatures as low as
possible to prevent a fire hazard.
11.
