Electrical Safety <br /> Arc Flash: An arc flash (also called a flashover), is part of an arc fault, a type of electrical explosion <br /> or discharge that results from a low-impedance connection through air to ground, or another <br /> voltage phase in an electrical system. Causes severe burns, injuries and death. <br /> Electrocution: is death caused by electric shock, electric current passing through the body. The <br /> word is derived from "electro" and "execution", but it is also used for accidental death. The word is <br /> also sometimes used to describe non-fatal injuries due to electricity. <br /> Training: Any employee working with electricity must be properly trained to the level they are <br /> working. <br /> PPE & The Electrical Department: Any employee working with electricity must wear the proper PPE <br /> for the task <br /> Call the Electrical Department for help, rather than putting yourself at risk working on a project <br /> that you are untrained at. <br />
