F
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS
.0. To assess the permeability of the proposed disposal area soils, two percolation test
were completed as noted above. Two inches of pea gravel was placed at the bottom and a
three-inch dia. perforated PVC pipe was inserted in each test boring. After these procedures, the
borings were pre-saturated with 12 inches of water approximately 24 hrs prior to the start of testing.
On March 25, 2026, percolation testing commenced at 0700 hrs. No standing water was observed
in each test boring after the 24-hr soak period. EHD Perc Test Procedure #2 was conducted for a
four-hour period to induce maximum soil saturation.
A summary of the perc test results with corresponding application rates in gallons of effluent
accepted per square foot of soil per day, are illustrated in Table 2 below:
TABLE 2
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS WITH CORRESPONDING
APPLICATION RATES IN GALLONS/FT'/DAY
36" DEEP PERC TEST 4.3 min/inch /1.20 gallons/ft"/day
42" DEEP PERC TEST 7.4 min/inch /0.80 gallons/ftZ/day
Application Rates adapted from Waste Quality Control for Siting,Design,Operation and Maintenance of On-site Wastewater Treatment Systems, based on the Perc Rate.
D. GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
NLS§ 2.0, SSS§ 4.0. Groundwater depths and elevations throughout San Joaquin County are
illustrated on maps published by the County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. Lines
of Equal Depth to Groundwater Maps for Spring 1983 illustrate groundwater depth to be
approximately 10 ft and the 1999 Map illustrate the depth to groundwater to be approximately 15 ft.
From 2007 to 2022, the water table was measured between 20 and 30 ft. The Lines of Equal
Elevation from 2007 to 2023 indicate the groundwater direction to be in northeasterly direction.
E. SURFACE WATER INFORMATION
NLS§ 3.0. The rainfall recharge factor used in the Hantzsche-Finnemore equation below has been
derived from a document found in Appendix E, which illustrates the water balance analysis of Net
Rainfall Recharge (NRR or R as referenced below). The data presented in this document indicates
an NRR of 8.82" for the Stockton area and is therefore applicable for this project.
Page -3-
Chesney Engineering, Inc.
