TIERED PERMIT-TING UNIT. LOCAL.AGENCY NOTIFICATION -2025 <br /> To Whorn it May Concern; <br /> The City of Lathrop operates a drinking water treatment plant at 2112 E_ Louise Avenue. The purpose of <br /> the plant is to produce potable water by removing arsenic from the ground waxer.This process produces <br /> sludge waste which contains arsenic and is considered a hazardous waste. When sludge needs to be <br /> removed frorn the treatment pror-er,5, it is run through a filter press to remove water content before <br /> disposal. This process is considered a treatment of hazardous waste. <br /> The City does not discharge any treated hazardous waste to another facility or agency.All material is kept <br /> an site. The filtrate water that is produced from the hazardous waste treatment process is recycled back <br /> into the water treatment system. The filter take produced by the hazardous waste treatment process is <br /> kept on site for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days. Once the disposal bin is full, or has been or) site <br /> far 90 days, the waste is transported by a certified hazardous waste transportation company to a <br /> hazardous waste disposal treatment storage facility (DTSr}.
