111. Sampling
a. Location(s)
Three sample locations are proposed in this analysis plan. An influent (INF) sample
representative of the final waste stream before treatment, an effluent (EFF-01)
sample representative of the post treatment waste stream (filter cake), and a second
effluent sample representative of the water post treatment that is recycled back into
the headworks (EFF-02). See Figure 1 below.
I. INF—Samples will be collected ahead of the sludge batch tank, after settling
and thickening occur. A valve is being added to the discharge piping to allow
forsample collection.
ll. EFF-01 - Samples will be collected from the filter cake disposal carts after
treatment.
III. EFF-02—Samples will be collected from the recycled pipe that leads back to
the headworks.
Sludge Batch Tank FROM BACKWASH
TAN K
TO HEAD
EFF-02 I N F
Liquid Batch Tank
Filter Press
Filter Press EFF-01
Disposal Cart Secondary
Batch Tank Settling Tank
Bypass Valve
Figure 1 -Filter Press Operation Schematic
2
