Unfiltered samples were collected directly from the sample <br /> tubing and filtered samples were passed through a 0.45 micrometer(µm) capsule filter.' Filtered <br /> samples were collected for analysis of standard anions and cations, boron, iron, manganese,total <br /> dissolved solids (TDS), and nitrogen constituents and unfiltered samples were collected for <br /> analysis of alkalinity, trihalomethanes, coliform. The monitored parameters and constituents for <br /> the 2023 Spring monitoring period are listed in Table 2 along with the methods and meters used; <br /> not all constituents were analyzed from samples at each monitoring site.The samples for cations <br /> and metals were preserved in the field with nitric acid. The samples for coliform and <br /> trihalomethanes were collected in bottles pre-preserved by the laboratory; the coliform samples <br /> were preserved with sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) and trihalomethane samples were preserved <br /> with hydrochloric acid (HCI). The samples were kept on ice during storage and transportation to <br /> the laboratory under standard chain-of-custody protocol. <br /> 'Prior to Third Quarter 2013,samples collected from some wells were not filtered.
