Tailgate safety meeting at jobsite discussing site-specific concerns and work <br /> procedures before work commences. <br /> 2. After tanks are exposed,contractor to remove turbines, risers and non-essential <br /> hardware to gain access to tanks. <br /> 3. Introduce the vacuum truck hose into the tank to start pumping out remaining <br /> product. <br /> 4. Once residual product has been removed from the tank(s), cleaning will <br /> continence using high pressure washing equipment and various length wands to <br /> properly access the tank interior. Washing will continue using water until the <br /> atmosphere of the tank(s) attains a reading of 0%LEL and all tank bottom sludge <br /> and scale has been removed. <br /> 5. All tank cleaning rinsate will be pumped out of the tank and be profiled and <br /> disposed of in accordance with U.S. Code of Federal Regulations(CFR)Title 40, <br /> Parts 260-279 and CCR Title 22,Div. 4, Chapter 30 and shipped using a Uniform <br /> Hazardous Waste Manifest to World Oil,2000 N. Alameda St., Compton, Ca. <br /> EPA ID#CAT080013352 <br /> 6. Tanks will be inerted using dry ice at the rate of 25 lbs.per 1000 gallons of tank <br /> capacity. <br /> 7. Demonstrate 0%LEL to County Health and Fire Dept. officials. <br /> 8. Tank to be certified by Certified Industrial Hygienist or Marine Chemist. <br /> 9. Under the authorization of the Fire Dept. and/or the County Environmental Health <br /> Inspector,the tank(s)may then be removed from the excavation and placed on a <br /> flatbed truck for transportation to Recology Hay Road Landfill, 6426 Hay Rd. <br /> Vacaville, CA 95687. <br /> 10. Tanks will be transported using a Non-Hazardous Waste Data Form. The Data <br /> Form number will be painted on each tank. <br /> 11. The disposal facility will issue a Certificate of Destruction for the tank. <br /> *All tank cleaning service trucks equipped with a 20 pound ABC fire extinguisher. <br /> *All tank cleaning service trucks equipped with a spill kit <br />
