Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Ms. Goulart:
The California Department of Transportation appreciates the opportunity to review the
proposed quarry infill at 31013 South Tracy Boulevard, Tracy. The project proposes the
infill of an existing quarry for agricultural uses. The project will generate between 50 to
100 truck trips per day. No STAA trucks will be used. The project site is located on the
west side of South Tracy Boulevard, south of Corral Hollow Creek, north of the
California Aqueduct, 3000 feet north of the 1-580/South Tracy Boulevard overpass. The
Department has the following comments:
1 . Please provide the following information to Caltrans for review and comment
prior to project approval.
2. Traffic distribution/traffic generation figures for this facility with respect to usage
of state facilities.
3. A project trip generation map that shows what percentage of trips will use
which roadways, including which 1-580 interchanges they will use.
4. An Operational Queuing Analysis at ramp interchanges to show traffic impact to
state facilities. The Synchro Simtraffic analysis needs to specify what types of
trucks will be used at the facility and convert larger vehicles into Passenger Car
Equivalent (PCE) in order to determine how far their project impacts existing
conditions at State Ramps interchanges. Please include the Synchro electronic
files for review.
"Provide a safe and reliable transportation network that serves all people and respects the environment"
