Neutralization of corrosives with a pH>12.5 occurs during the physical process of shredding the <br /> cartridges. The facility has not reported the neutralization to CERS. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: See California Health & Safety Code section 67450.2(b)(3)for details. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Update and submit the hazardous waste treatment information in CERS. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 <br /> days. <br /> This is a (Minor)Violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments <br /> NOTE: A facility walk-through and partial paperwork inspection was conducted on 5/13/26. The paperwork inspection <br /> was completed on 5/14/26. Permission to continue the inspection on 5/14/26 was granted by Lana Karpuk, Sr EHS <br /> Manager. <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. An amended checklist was <br /> issued on the day the paperwork inspection was completed. A complete report was finished on July 7, 2026 and <br /> replaces the initial checklist. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork <br /> by August 6, 2026. <br /> Starting July 1, 2025, all in-office CERS help will be provided at the EHD hourly rate ($179).
