Plan <br /> trip accordingly. <br /> Travel to Site Motor vehicle accident during transit to site Always wear a seatbelt. <br /> Follow ALL Core Driver Safety Program guidelines <br /> Discuss safe location to observe with site foreman and/or operator. <br /> While approaching site entrance,turn on hazard lights/warning lights and turn <br /> signal at least 150 feet(or approximately 4-5 seconds)before entrance to <br /> provide time for the traveling public to notice. <br /> Check surroundings for vehicles and equipment. <br /> Approach/Enter site from Public Roadway Traveling public unaware of construction zone entrance/exit and construction <br /> vehicles entering and exiting the site. <br /> Slow down progressively as the site access point becomes closer.
