Job Task Driving (Streets and Highways) <br /> Publish Date: August 28, 2017 Origination Date: June 12, 2007 <br /> To prevent theft/vandalism, park vehicle in well illuminated areas. <br /> Do not leave valuable items, such as computers, purses,wallets, <br /> water quality meters, etc. in vehicle overnight. Do not leave items in <br /> plain sight. Do not leave unsecured items in bed of truck. Make sure <br /> all doors are locked and windows are closed. Do not leave keys <br /> Theft of items or vandalism of vehicle inside vehicle. <br /> Notify Area Admin. Manager immediately if theft or vandalism is <br /> discovered. Contact local non-emergency law enforcement number <br /> to file a police report and retain report in project files. <br /> Conduct a Loss Investigation for any theft or vandalism. <br /> Parking sequence <br /> Park vehicle in a'pull-through'parking spot or back vehicle into <br /> parking spot so the first movement when leaving location is forward. <br /> Damage to vehicle from colliding with object Provide adequate distance in front and behind the vehicle to exit <br /> when parallel parking. Replace 360'Walk-Around magnet to drivers- <br /> side B-pillar. <br /> To decrease the likelihood of vehicle movement while parked: <br /> Manual Transmission: Ensure engine is off, transmission is in 1st or <br /> Injury/property damage from unintended vehicle movement while reverse, parking brake is engaged, and wheels are turned toward the <br /> parked curb(if present). If parked on a slope>5/o, deploy wheel chocks. <br /> Automatic Transmission: Ensure engine is off, transmission is in <br /> park, parking brake is engaged, and wheels are turned toward the <br /> curb(if present). <br /> Dead battery Ensure all exterior and interior lights are turned off before departing <br /> vehicle. <br />
